Kiddo Update

After a very healthy summer, Hannah came down with a fever, caused by an ear infection and most likely strep throat, 3 days after school started. She will have surgery on September 17 to have her tonsils removed. We are hoping and praying that this will help her have a healthy school year. She is a little nervous about it, as am I. I'm nervous about her recovery. She is a tough little girl though ,and I am sure she will come through it all brilliantly.

Isaac came down with a fever early Friday morning, but is fever free now. He just has a runny nose and cough. He is LOVING preschool this year and I am very proud of his maturity this year. He is doing fantastic. It is fun to see him grow up so much. He is really good at riding his bike. I think we are getting close to taking the training wheels off. He is starting to sound out words and lies to try and spell them. Such a great little guy!

Eli is healthy thus far. He has discovered how to make his back stiff like a board when it is time to get in the car seat. Fun times. I have to put a toy in my mouth and growl like a wild animal for him to relax enough to sit in the seat and get strapped in. (Don't ask how I figured out this would work). Yes, I have been the recipient of more than a few weird glances from college students at the grocery store. He is not sleeping through the night yet, however my almost 9 month old has been pooping in the toilet for almost 3 weeks now! NO JOKE. He holds it and then goes right away when I put him on the toilet. He also goes potty in the toilet when I put him on. He refuses to poop in his diaper!!! Maybe this is too good to be true, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts. And the longer it lasts the more I think it may be a more permanent thing!
